Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between your coffee and store-bought or instant coffee?
The coffee you receive is guaranteed to be roasted in the last 7 days, so you get coffee at its freshest with all those bright, complex flavors intact. Think fruit, chocolate, and floral notes you can actually taste. Store-bought coffee has usually been sitting on shelves for months getting stale, and instant coffee loses most of its flavor during processing. Once you try freshly roasted coffee, you'll immediately notice what you've been missing.
What's the difference between light, medium, and dark roasts?
The roast level affects both flavor and body. Light roasts preserve more of the coffee's origin characteristics such as bright acidity, floral or fruity notes, and tea-like body. Medium roasts offer a balance between origin flavors and roast character, with more sweetness and body. Dark roasts develop bold, smoky flavors with lower acidity and fuller body, though some origin nuances are replaced by roast notes
How should I store my coffee to keep it fresh?
Store your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from heat, light, and moisture. Avoid the refrigerator or freezer, as temperature fluctuations can cause condensation that affects flavor. For optimal freshness, we recommend using whole beans within 2-6 weeks of the roast date and grinding just before brewing. If you've purchased pre-ground coffee, use it within two weeks for the best taste.
Where do you source your coffee beans?
We work with estates all over India to bring high quality coffee right to your doorstep. Currently, we only have one bean from our partners over at Samrudhi Estate in Coorg
